    The games market has seen some impressive gains as developers have seen an uptick in revenue from the first quarter of 2018, according to the Games Industry Insights Conference.

    As the industry continues to be buffeted by the economic downturn, a lot of companies are looking to turn their attention to the next big thing in the game industry.

    And with that in mind, there are a lot more games on the way.

    With that in play, let’s take a look at some of the latest and greatest games on tap for 2018.

    Here’s what we know right now: – The latest in game production is the next-gen version of the Gears of War game.

    The game will release in 2018, with the Xbox One version to follow in 2019.

    Gears of Wars: Definitive Edition is expected to release in 2020, with Gears of Battle 2 on the horizon in 2021.

    – Halo: The Master Chief Collection is slated to release this fall on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.

    Halo: Definitive is a standalone version of Halo: Spartan Assault.

    Halo 5: Guardians is set for release this summer on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

    Halo Wars 2 is set to release later this year on PC.

    – The first wave of games on Steam will release this year, with The Last of Us 2 and its DLC set to be released next year.

    The Last Of Us 2 is an episodic horror game set in a post-apocalyptic New York City.

    – Fallout 4, its sequel, is due for release in 2021, with Bethesda Softworks’ Fallout 4 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

    Fallout Shelter, a free-to-play multiplayer game set for launch in 2019, is also set for a launch later this month.

    – Dishonored 2, Dishonoured’s latest title, is expected for a 2018 release on Xbox and PC, with its DLC being available this summer.

    Dishonoring: Definitive edition is a re-imagining of Dishonore’s final game.

    – Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is due to launch this year for PlayStation 4.

    Resident Evil 4: Arcade Edition is set in 2020 and is set after the events of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

    – Monster Hunter Stories: Definitive release is expected in 2020 for PlayStation 3 and PC with a Switch version coming later in the year.

    Monster Hunter Generations is set on the same island as the previous titles in the series.

    – Fable Legends is a next-generation, 3D platformer set in 2019 for Xbox One; it will be a free to play title.

    Fable 5: Echoes is set two years after the conclusion of Fable: Legends.

    – Destiny 2 is expected later this summer for Xbox and PS4, with Destiny: The Taken King being released later this fall.

    Destiny 2 will be available on PS4 and Xbox consoles, as well as PC.

    The first game in the new Destiny series, the sequel to The Taken Kingdom, is set between the events in The Taken Saga and The Taken Kings.

    – Forza Horizon 4 is expected at a later date for Xbox, Xbox consoles and PC in 2019 with the game set after Forza Motorsport 5.

    Forza 6: Definitive will be released on Xbox 360 and Xbox platforms.

    – NBA 2K17 will be the last installment in the NBA series, and is due in 2020.

    NBA 2k17 will include a free update that introduces a new gameplay mode, new arenas and new characters.

    – Marvel Super Heroes: Ultimate Edition is slated for release on PC and Xbox devices in 2019 and is a sequel to Marvel Avengers: Age of Ultron.

    – Minecraft: Story Mode will be out in 2020 on PlayStation 3.

    Minecraft: Pocket Edition will be in 2019 on Xbox consoles.

    – Call of Duty: WWII is scheduled to be out later this decade for Xbox.

    Call of Duties: WW2 is set at the start of World War II and sees characters from World War I and World War Two.

    – Assassin’s Creed: Origins is slated in 2020 with an all-new multiplayer mode called “Shadow Raid”.

    It will be an all out war against Templars and Assassins.

    – Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is scheduled for release sometime in 2020; Uncharted 4 is set during the events from Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.

    – BioShock Infinite is slated on Xbox, PS4 in 2019; BioShock is set one year after BioShock 2.

    – Gears of Warfare 5 is expected on Xbox as a free release in 2019 but will be on PC in 2020 as well.

    – Watch Dogs 2 is scheduled in 2020 after the first game and will be exclusive to Xbox One in 2021 as well – The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be coming to Xbox, PlayStation and PC this year and is being set after Skyrim: Skyrim Special Edition.

    – Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will be launching in 2021 on Xbox Live Arcade
